Rotarians Enjoy Each Other's Company
In addition to the weekly meetings, Providence Rotarians take many occasions to get together socially. There's something for almost every interest, and members are also welcome to propose new fellowship activities.
Current fellowship activities include:
- Rotary After Dark
A fun monthly cocktail-hour gathering for refreshments and conversation
- Bowling League
A bit of competition and a lot of fun
- Boston Pops
Popular annual springtime event. Take the bus, enjoy a box dinner on the way!
- PawSox and Providence Bruins
A District-wide event where Rotarians are recognized on the field and ice before enjoying the game
- Golf Outings
Arranged by Rotarians at their country clubs. Anyone can play!
- Book Club
Reading and spirited discussion (and great food)
- Barker Playhouse - A little NightMusic by Stephen Sondheim - starring three Providence Rotarians: Holly Applegate, Liz Messier and Walter Cotter. Meet afterwards for drinks and nibbles.
- Wii Competition - Play tennis or golf against other members. Try downhill skiing and sports car racing, all electronically with Wii equipment. No doubt this idea was conceived by a member who could not play (real life) golf or tennis very well. This is fun!
- And more: Holiday parties, summer events... Something for everyone.
